When we transfer and preserve your digital files, photos and videos from your smart phone devices onto a drive, we choose to go with a USB flash drive. The reason is being that the USB connection has survived the test of time so far and not only has it been around for a very long time, but it keeps evolving. In addition, the benefit of the flash drive is that it does not contain any moving parts, which helps with overall durability and life preservation. While some limitations exist, with proper use and care, we expect our customers to be able to access their important and irreplaceable digital files for the foreseeable future at any given moment. We also recommend the combo option, preserving your digital memories onto both USB drive and a DVD disc, primarily because small USB flash drives are easy to lose. Please ask us about other storage options, such as larger external drives, RAID arrays, could-based solutions, LTO backups and more.
